One of my favorite places to eat! Very friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere! I highly recommend! The food is AMAZING!!!

Frequently have multiple takeout orders for the office orders here for lunch. Food is good at fair prices. Service is friendly but making it out the door with your food isn't as quick as other similar places.

Great food and coffee

Waited at a nearly empty restaurant for 15 minutes. Waitress told us to have a seat and never returned. Couldn’t get a drink or menu. Got up walked out after listening to another table complain about the food and service. Won’t come back.

If you like the feel of a small town shop / eatery, this is your place. I enjoyed the food we ordered. The server was very friendly, and we didn't wait long for our orders. My only complaint: it was loud. But it's like this everywhere, and there really isn't much to do about that. Given the amount of customers they had during our visit probably says volumes for the fare they offer. I recommend eating here when visiting Portsmouth.

The only place I've ever ordered a wrap and do so regularly. Turkey Crunch Wrap is on point, chips and pickle slice make it even better!

Didn't actually go in because they were closed, but I'll stop in next time they're open. However, they have the cutest place! I was able to get the best pictures of my friend outside.

Went here with a couple of friends. The hummus wrap, which my friend got, was really good, but I was disappointed by the veggie panini. It was supposed to have sauteed peppers and onion with mushrooms, but when it came out the peppers and onion were completely raw. My other friend got the mandarin salad which was good, but the blueberry muffin that came with it was soggy. So, kind of a mixed bag. But the service was excellent, the staff was friendly and the decor was adorable.

Great food and coffee. Great entertainment; Steve Free is there every Wednesday. Steve is a local talent and sings self written folk and native American songs. Great atmosphere.

Market Street Cafe is one of the best things to happen to the Boneyfiddle District in years. It is a true shining star as to the ability to revitalize a historical community. The food is excellent American Traditional fare, and the prices are super affordable even during these difficult economic times. The atmosphere of this historical building are highlighted by the original wood flooring and plaster and tin ceiling moldings. The setting is close intimate which makes it a great place to take a date, but there is also seating available for larger parties as well. I cannot recommend this place enough if you care about having great food at affordable prices and helping be a part of reclaiming a beautiful section of our city.

Best tropical smoothie ever

This is my absolute favorite place to eat. The Highland Grog coffee is amazing. You can’t go wrong with any of their soups (the broccoli soup is by far the best though). The cookies and pastries are always fresh. And the employees are so sweet.

Trust me on this. Try the grilled cheese panini with bacon, tomato and avocado. Be extra daring and add mayo. It's what I like to call a little taste of heaven right here in Portsmouth Ohio. You can't beat it! Market Street Cafe is one of my favorite places for lunch, not only in Portsmouth, but anywhere!

The food is always great here. We have never had anything that wasn't fresh and delicious.

This is a great dining spot. I highly recommend the Reuben, but everything looked good. I also had a cinnamon roll that was perfect. I was visiting from out of town and wish I lived closer so I could go back more often.

Market Street Cafe is such an awesome little place, right in the heart of Historic Boneyfiddle District! They did a great job restoring the building and have it so tastefully decorated, lots of character! The food is always great, staff is wonderful! I really love Susan, she cares about her community and it shows through the business. If you go there, try the chicken salad, it's amazing!

I had the Cafe Grilled Cheese and a house salad. It was good. :) Only downside is they have limited hours due to Covid-19 so it's hard to get down there. I'm working while they are open. Try a sugar cookie or smoothie! ❤️

Nice little deli shop with great sandwiches!

A cute cafe in the historic district. We had the California Turkey sandwich, which is grilled panini style. They have a great assortment of coffees. Live music on a Saturday afternoon is an added bonus!

Very unique and adorable cafe with amazing food. Thanks Holly for being so attentive. Everyone was very friendly and it made you feel like your home again. My husband is from Portsmouth and we were here for the Senior Olympics. Highly recommend.

Love the owners, staff and atmosphere. The food is always consistent. One of the best places to have lunch in the area.

We randomly stopped in this small town when we got hungry around lunch time and pulled into a parking lot. When we talked about finding a place to eat on the sidewalk someone passing by said the place right here had really good food. Two more people came around the corner and went into Market Street Cafe and told as the same thing. So we were convinced and went in and sat down and ordered food and coffee and both were really good!
